Whānau Committee
Our whānau committee is a wonderful group of parents and whānau who collaborate with Te Papapa Preschool to support the community and enhance the care and educational experience for all tamariki.
Their role involves organising events, fundraising activities, and fostering communication between whānau and kaimahi. The committee also provides valuable feedback on school policies, assists with school programs, and helps to promote a positive, inclusive environment. By working closely with kaiako, the whānau committee helps strengthen the relationship between the preschool and the families it serves.

In collaboration with All Blocks Lego User Group and To Wahi, the whānau committee organised a "Brick Show Fundraiser" where families built lego, purchased baking, browsed second-hand goods, enjoyed sausage sizzle and won spot prizes and raised much needed funds for the preschool!
The whānau committee had their first meeting of the year where we welcomed new members, discussed any queries that whānau had, talked over current events in the preschool and raised new ideas for fundraising acitivities.
As part of the whānau committees ongoing commitment to raising much needed funds for our preschool community they are currently organising donations for an upcoming Easter Hamper Raffles Event.
